More thoughts
In "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" I like how one of the presented themes is comedy. It makes for an interesting read and keeps you hooked, even when the storyline is sad. It seems toward the end of the book one sad event happens after another, but Sherman keeps the tone of the book relatively light as opposed to dark and depressing.

My thoughts on "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian"
Firstly, I really enjoyed the book because of its sarcastic wit and realistic jokes. I liked how Junior (AKA Arnold) grew throughout the entire book. In the beginning, he was a scared kid in every sense of the word because of his daily life of getting beat up and pushed around. In the end, I love how he isn't as afraid of everything and he realizes he's one of those few people who actually gets up off their butt and explores the world and all its wonders, so to speak.
